Willow Folk Festival
The Willow Folk Festival is a great reason to visit Illinois! Willow is every year during the second weekend of August. It is a weekend full of music and fun! Willow is all about being with family, friends, and enjoying music together. The Willow Folk Festival has been a summer tradition for 52 years. It was first established to raise money by the Willow United Methodist Church. It first started as a one day event, but as it grew and became more popular, now the whole weekend is spent celebrating music!
As well as having a great music experience, it is also a weekend of camping on the cow pasture. This provides many opportunities for families and friends to enjoy their time together. Fee is $20 at registration and $25 if you choose not to prepay. Children under eight are free!
Performances are on Saturday at 10 am and on, as well as on Sunday after 11:30 am. Anyone can sign up to perform and it is a great way to share your talents and love for music. They ask that each individual/group only sign up for three different performances so that many individuals and groups have the opportunity to perform. There is no fee to perform but all who perform must have paid the admissions fee.
The Willow Folk Festival is a summer tradition that is hard not to love! Music, friends, family, and camping! Definitely a great way to wrap up summer!
